If you're on a variable rate tariff, it’s important you select the correct energy supply to make sure we know when your off-peak periods are. This allows us to save you money by scheduling your charges for when energy is at its cheapest.
If you're on a flat rate tariff, we’ll schedule your charging on a combination of your ready by time, grid demand and the carbon intensity forecast for your region.
Selecting the correct tariff also means that the charging costs and savings we display in the app will be more accurate, regardless of being on a fixed or variable rate.
You can let us know your energy tariff details in the ev.energy app by heading to ‘Account’ > ‘Energy supply’. If you don’t select an energy tariff, you won’t see any prices or savings in the app, but you’ll still be able to smart charge, in this case using the same criteria as if you were on a flat rate.
If you can’t find your supplier or tariff listed, follow the instructions provided here. It's important to make sure the information you enter is accurate and that it matches your electricity bill.
