We have recently changed the way we assess the car's status, and we only 'wake' the car if we can detect it is plugged in to a charge point. Due to this, the amount of energy consumed is minimal and not something that will have a noticeable impact.
As a sustainability-focused company, any loss of energy (no matter how small) is something we take seriously. The benefits of Smart Charging with the app and shifting your charging away from peak times to align with grid renewables, significantly outweighs any additional energy consumption. Despite this, we are continuing to work on new ways to improve this even further.
