Selecting an energy tariff

Modified on Thu, 16 Oct at 1:28 PM

To choose your tariff within the ev.energy app, follow these steps:

  1. Head to the Smart tab, scroll down to the Energy section and tap the 'Tariff' card.
  2. Tap on Update Tariff
  3. Start by selecting your energy supplier from the provided options.
  4. Next, carefully choose the appropriate tariff name from the list.
  5. Check that the tariff details are correct and match the details on your electricity bill for peak/off-peak times and prices
  6. Tap on Select this rate
  7. Success! Your tariff has been updated.

Please be aware that the list of suppliers and tariffs available within the ev.energy app is determined by your location. If you cannot find your supplier in the list, updating your home location information in the app's settings may be necessary. By doing so, you can ensure that the app provides accurate and relevant options for suppliers and tariffs specific to your region.

If your location is correct and you can't find your supplier or tariff on our list you can create your own custom tariff.

Creating a custom tariff

  1. Tap 'Update tariff'
  2. Select your supplier
  3. Tap the 'Try another method' link at the bottom of the screen
  4. Pick your tariff type, such as a flat rate, dual rate, or something else.
  5. Enter a name for your tariff and select the appropriate energy price for peak and off-peak times if applicable.
  6. Next, specify the off-peak hours and then finally tap Continue.

Success! You have now created your own custom tariff!

Note: We use this to provide an estimate of your energy usage, cost and savings. The real cost of charging your car is dependent on your supplier.
