My wifi router/provider has changed, how do I update my waEV-charge?

Modified on Mon, 16 Dec at 11:41 AM

WaEV users can update the Wi-Fi network their charger is connected to using the waEV Installer app.

1. Download the Installer app (App Store or Google Play)
2. Use the "owner settings" option on the home screen
3. Make sure you allow Bluetooth when instructed - might require BACK or app reboot once accepted
4. Ensure car is not plugged into charger when updating WiFi (blue light should be on)
5. Ensure you are standing next to the charger & have your WiFi password to hand, as if you move out of range, you will need to start the process again.

Once updated and app confirms connection successful, you can press reboot and wait 2-5mins for charger to reconnect to ev.energy.

Instructions for connecting your router or changing provider are also on the video in the waEV support screen:
