How does my Keba charger communicate?

Modified on Fri, 27 Aug, 2021 at 4:14 PM

The Keba charger is able to communicate with our servers in a number of ways.

  • The default method of communication is via a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) SIM card, which is the most  reliable, secure and simple to setup of all of the options.
  • You can also connect via WiFi which is a useful option if you live in an area that receives poor signal across all networks.
  • There is also the option of having a wired internet connection through an ethernet cable if you so wish.

The mode of connectivity will have to be decided between you and your installer at the point of installation. They will likely recommend going with the default option of the GPRS SIM unless there are extenuating circumstances.
