We understand there are multiple reasons why you might want to unlink or delete your vehicle from the ev.energy app, including:
- You no longer own it
- You have added the wrong model car to the app
- You have a complex multi-car or driver situation I want to untangle
- You don’t want to see your old data
- Your car is in a bad state and you need to remove then re-add it
Will ev.energy still communicate with my vehicle (via api)?
No, once you unlink or remove your vehicle we are no longer able to communicate with it.
Can I delete my only vehicle?
Yes, but you’ll have to add another before you can keep using the app. To delete your vehicle, follow these steps:
- Tap on the cogwheel icon in your dashboard top left corner
- Tap 'Vehicle'
- Select the vehicle you would like to remove
- Tap 'Remove vehicle'
- Tick the box to confirm you understand the implications of removing the vehicle from your account including the loss of data and tap 'Remove vehicle' again
Can I re-add a deleted car?
You can add the same model again but it will be created as a new vehicle and the data from charges tied to the old vehicle won't be displayed.
