1. What should I expect if I have a home battery?
You will need to manage charge/discharge of your battery yourself, otherwise we may use energy from your battery to charge your car.
2. Does the ev.energy algorithm for solar charging consider the solar energy stored in a battery and then discharged in the evening during a scheduled time?
Our current algorithm for solar charging does not take into account the solar energy stored in a battery and discharged in the evening during a scheduled time. However, we are working on integrating with batteries to improve our algorithm in the future. This will allow for a more efficient use of solar energy stored in batteries.
3. Can ev.energy read the Home Battery State-of-Charge?
We do not have access to the home battery State of Charge (SoC). Our app primarily displays real-time production data from solar panels.
4. Does the session pricing and logic take into account charging my EV from my battery?
At the moment, our session pricing and logic do not take into account charging your EV from your battery. We represent the energy delivered from solar power or grid import, using pricing from that time.
