What Tesla permissions are required?

When enabling ev.energy access to your Tesla account, you will be asked to select what information you'd like to share with us. Although you’ll need to provide access to required information, ev.energy will not use the full scope of these permissions and will only access what’s required to provide our service.

Vehicle Information (Required) ✅

‍Allow access to your vehicle information, including data such as:

• Your vehicle's live data, i.e. charging status 

Vehicle Location (Required) ✅

• Precise location to determine charging location at home or away 

Vehicle Charging Management (Required) ✅

‍Allow access to your vehicle charging management, including data such as:

• Your vehicle charging history 
• Charging location 
• Commands to schedule 
• Start/stop charging 
• Billed amount 

Energy Product Information (Optional) ❓

Allows access to your energy product information for Powerwall and solar, including data such as energy flow, history, saving forecast, tariff rates, grid import, calendar, site status, time of use and ownership. 

Energy Product Commands (Optional) ❓

Allow access to your energy product commands for Powerwall and solar, including commands such as updates to storm mode and off-grid charging reserve. 

Vehicle Commands (Not Required) ❌
